There are never enough words to praise those who host rallies and all those who pitch in to help.  The Whitney Rally was certainly one of the greatest from that aspect, as well as so many others!

The recommendation was made by the executive board, seconded and voted unanimously to award the appointed position and title to Byron Maxwell of Technical and Flea Market Coordinator.   He does such a wonderful job and your Chatter Editor is especially appreciative of his great job of reporting on these sessions!

1999 Dues were collected from rally attendees at Lake Whitney.   Those of you who have not paid will receive a notice soon.  Please take care of this promptly in order that we may prepare a new roster, and that your name will appear therein.

Memo to all husbands:
During this Valentine Season, you surely remember when you promised to "Love, Honor and Share".   Perhaps this is a slight paraphrase, but applicable.   Please share the rally info contained herein with the feminine side of your team.   She will be less than happy if she is the only female not properly attired at the April rally!!!

From Yea Ole Wagon Master

The Classics descended on Lake Whitney RV Re-sort in great numbers!  Some seventy coaches showed up.  One lonely coach on Monday (who else but our saintly Bar-B-Que cook), a couple more on Tuesday, several more on Wednesday, a whole bunch on Thursday & Friday and a few on Saturday.   Monday through Wednesday was nice, but then Old Man Weather made it kind of nasty for us with wind, mist, rain and cold.  But, try as he might, the Old Man could not dampen the spirits of our valiant members.  As usual, when someone opened the hoods on their coach, a crowd automatically appeared.  A couple of members had problems.  But not to fear - ten to twelve members showed up to help, two workers and eight to ten supervisors.   What compassion!

Our Host, Joe Summey, showed up from time to time driving a different vehicle on each visit, then Pat got him by the ear and made him settle down and do some work.  Three cheers for Joe and Pat for hosting a great rally.  I had asked Joe about two weeks prior to the rally if he would guarantee good weather.  He promised that it would not snow and by golly he was right.

Joe and Pat had a great bunch of helpers, about a third of the guys pitched in to do whatever was necessary and half of the gals who did everything else, including creating great decorations for the Saturday dinner.  A good rally, tech sessions, crafts and Camaraderie.  Although at the end of the day there was still enough energy left to play games and talk til the wee hours.

The Spring Rally (alias - 3 Jackson Rally)
Jack and Bette Jackson along with assistants Tom & Jennie Jackson, Jim & Serri Jackson have planned a great rally at the Wanderlust RV Park in Eureka Springs, Ark. on April 15, 16 & 17.   Kicking off the festivities is the special Thursday evening dinner.   Bring your own Steaks and cook them on two big open pits.    The Club will furnish all the goodies to go with the meal (Don't let it rain Jack).   Friday evening will be Catfish and Chicken.   Saturday evening features Bar- B-Que  beef, pork and sausage.  Check the reservation form for details. Don't miss this one!
