Dear Fellow Members,
REFLECTIONS
As I left Eureka Springs on Sunday morning, the sun was shinning through the trees creating a soft golden glow. The dogwood and the redbud trees were nestled among the vast ocean of greenery. A light fog hung in the valley, like angels fast asleep. It brought back memories of sitting in my living room with the lights off, in the dark, staring at the Christmas tree in all it's splendor.
What beauty nature has to offer us.
Further in my journey home, feeling fatigued and restless, with my usual lower back pain, my thoughts retumed to our rally. I found myself smiling and chuckling, "What Fun", the costumes, skits, and the cookout, even at the weather, what a team effort!! It's such a joy to see so many from all walks of life joining together to celebrate the Joy of Life, leaving behind the stresses of everyday living. Suddenly I found myself alert and pain free! Wow! I don't remember taking a pain pill or drinking a half pot of coffee.
Then I began to realize that often the best medicine in life is free; the beauty of nature and the love and laughter of our family and friends. How often we forget and allow the trials and tribulations of everyday life to rob us.
I personally want to thank each and everyone for your support and contribution to a wonderful rally especially to Jack and Betty Jackson. Your Grand Finale was awesome.
May you stop along the busy highway of life, let the beauty of nature refresh you, reflections of the good times, and the dreams of the future, refuel you on your journey.
Thanks,
Richard Roucloux
P.S. Has anyone told you today that they love you? Let me be the first if they haven't, "I Love You!"
