Come to find out, Windstar in Thackerville doesn't have kitchen facilities in their meeting hall. The person in charge at the RV park across the road got real snooty about paying in advance for 50amp only sites but did not want advance payments on 30amp. Was very rude to our wagon master. So, we'll not grace them with our presence. Their facilities are marginal at best anyhow.

The folks at the Mineola facility was very excited to have us and I'm sure it will be a much better experience. One thing though, there are no public showers.

Local attractions are a Nature Preserve, a Railroad Museum, and a Post Office Museum.

Lessons on how to use our new Portable Defibrolator will be held at 10 AM Thursday the 24th. This is early on the first day of the rally, so everyone try to be there. There might not be time to read the instructions if you need to use this machine.

Subject: Pre-Rally visit to Guthrie OK

Nine of us went to Guthrie for four days, endured 10 inches of rain and scrambled out just before they closed the bridge due to flooding, to scout out Guthrie for our next rally. In spite of the weather we all had a great time. If you like history, shopping, great eating, did I say antique mall shopping, historic old buildings, interesting folks and museums of all sorts - you are going to love Guthrie.

You might want to consider coming early or staying a couple of extra days. The website www.guthrieok.com will give you a head start. The itinerary will be on the Classics' website as soon as we can squeeze everything into it. It is really hard to know what to leave out!

Y' all put the Guthrie Classics GMC Rally (October 25-28. 2007) on your list of things to do and places to go.

We are sure, that after you experience the camaraderie, fellowship and immense collective knowledge of this group, that you will be inclined to become a member and help support our club and it's activities. Dues are only $20 a year and the Classic Chatter alone is worth that.

(Classics Caravans and Mini Rallies are not intended to take the place of a regularly scheduled, quarterly Classics Rally and will not interfere with them in any way.)
